At BSPOKR we don’t believe massage is a luxury add-on. It is part of the recovery process, part of performance, and part of keeping your body functioning the way it should. Every treatment is tailored to what your body needs on the day,  whether that’s deep recovery work, nervous system down regulation, mobility support or simply creating space to breathe again.

No two bodies are the same, and no two treatments should be either.

Trigger Point Therapy

Ever had pain in one area that actually starts somewhere completely different? That’s often a trigger point. These tight, irritated areas within muscle tissue can refer pain into other parts of the body and create ongoing tension patterns that just won’t let go.

Trigger Point Therapy focuses on identifying and releasing those stubborn areas through targeted pressure and release techniques. It can feel intense at times, but the goal is always relief, movement and restoring function. Deep breathing and communication throughout the treatment are key, helping the body soften and release properly.

This style of treatment is especially beneficial for headaches, neck tension, shoulder pain, glute tightness and chronic postural discomfort.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is what most people picture when they think of massage, long flowing movements, relaxation and calming the body down. But there’s a lot more happening beneath the surface.

This treatment is designed to improve circulation, support lymphatic flow, increase oxygen through the muscles and help reduce built-up tension and fatigue. It’s the perfect reset when life feels overloaded and your nervous system needs a moment to slow down.

At BSPOKR, Swedish techniques are often blended into other treatments to create balance between recovery and relaxation, because sometimes the body heals best when it finally stops bracing.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is for those areas that feel chronically tight, restricted or overworked. Using slower, more focused pressure, this treatment works deeper into the muscles, fascia and connective tissue to help release long-held tension patterns.

This style of massage is ideal for people carrying stress physically through their body, athletes pushing through repetitive loading, or anyone dealing with ongoing muscular tightness from work, training or lifestyle demands.

It’s not about “going hard” for the sake of it. Effective deep tissue work is strategic, intentional and designed to create lasting change within the body.

Sports Massage

Sports massage is one of the foundations of what we do at BSPOKR. Having worked alongside cycling teams during the Tour of Southland, AFL players, Rugby and Rugby League players, understanding the physical demands athletes place on their bodies, these treatments are built around performance, recovery and injury prevention.

Whether you’re cycling the hills of the Mornington Peninsula, training in the gym, playing golf, running, or simply trying to stay active consistently, your body accumulates stress. Sports massage focuses on the muscles and movement patterns being overloaded from repetitive activity and helps improve recovery, mobility and overall function.

Treatments are often a combination of techniques - deep tissue, trigger point work, mobility focused release and nervous system recovery, so you walk out feeling both lighter and more connected to your body.

And as I always say consistency is key.

If you wanted to get fitter, stronger or faster, one session wouldn’t change everything overnight. Massage is exactly the same. One treatment can absolutely help, but if your body has been compensating, tightening and carrying stress for years, real change comes from consistency and commitment to recovery.

Recovery Is Part Of The Process

For anyone training regularly, working physically demanding jobs, managing stress or simply wanting to move and feel better in their body, regular massage can become one of the most valuable parts of your wellness routine.

The best treatment plan is one that works with your lifestyle, your goals and your body’s needs.

Your recovery matters just as much as your training.
